What is loungewear, actually?

Loungewear is a broad term. For us it means:

matching sets in soft cotton jersey,
relaxed sweatshirts in a roomier, oversized fit,
joggers that work both in bed and on the sofa,
warmer sweatsets for colder days,
colours and motifs that feel just a little more festive without turning into fancy dress,
our own designs from our design team – not a standard garment with a print on it.

Not a pyjama. Not ordinary everyday clothing either.

Something in between – just more comfortable than both.

Danish design since 2016

Happy Seasons was founded in Denmark in 2016. The idea was simple: clothing for days at home doesn't have to look like clothing for days at home.

We have now sold more than 2,000,000 products.

All designs are developed by our own design team – from the first sketch to the final collection. We don't buy standard models and then sew our own label into them.

That takes more.

For us, Danish design means calm lines, comfortable fits and colours that work all year round. Sometimes a little festive. Always comfort first.

Cosiness, but to wear

In Denmark we call it hygge. In the Netherlands you know the feeling as gezelligheid: warm, relaxed, no rush.

Our loungewear is built on that. Not to impress, but to make you feel good in it – with a coffee, on the sofa, during a long autumn evening when you don't really have to do anything.

Cosy doesn't have to be complicated.

Which loungewear suits you?

Not everyone has the same picture of a perfect day at home.

Some want a complete matching set. Others prefer to swap just the trousers and keep their own jumper on. Both are possible with us.

Matching sets – top and trousers in the same fabric and colour. The quickest to put on, the best in photos, the least to think about on a Sunday morning.

Oversized sweatshirts – slightly roomier in fit, made for pulling the sleeves over your hands while holding a coffee.

Loose joggers – for anyone who already has a favourite jumper and only misses the comfortable half.

Loungewear isn't just for the sofa.

Working from home, a lazy Sunday, a late evening with a Christmas film, the morning after a late evening – the list is longer than most people think before they own a set themselves.

It's also a simple gift idea. No size stress, no “will it really fit” – just something soft that gets used straight away, often the very same evening the parcel is opened.

Christmas pyjama or loungewear – what's the difference?

Good question. The line is thin.

A Christmas pyjama is primarily meant for sleeping in – thinner fabric, often with a Christmas motif. Loungewear is made to be worn all day, not just at night, and usually has a calmer look that still works in February.

Which size should you choose?

Start by choosing your normal size. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one so you can be sure it fits.

Better than guessing wrong.

You'll always find the exact size chart on the product page itself – the fit can differ slightly between sets, sweatshirts and trousers.

How to wash your loungewear

Always follow the care label of the specific product. As a general guideline:

wash at 30 degrees,
turn the garment inside out,
wash with similar colours,
use a mild detergent,
do not tumble dry,
gently reshape after washing.

The label wins, if it says something different.
