When is a Christmas jumper sustainable?
A Christmas jumper is sustainable when it has been produced with respect for both the environment and the people who work on it. For us this means, first of all, that our sustainable Christmas jumpers are made from organic cotton. This cotton is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or genetically modified organisms (GMOs). This preserves soil fertility and supports biodiversity. In addition, growing organic cotton uses less water, which again benefits the sustainability of the Christmas jumper.
But sustainability goes beyond just the materials. Our sustainable Christmas jumpers are GOTS-certified, which stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. GOTS is an internationally recognised standard that ensures the entire production chain, from the harvest of the fibres to the final manufacture of the Christmas jumper, meets strict environmental and social requirements.
During production, harmful chemicals are avoided and energy and water are used efficiently. This certification ensures that our sustainable Christmas jumpers are not only organic, but also safe and healthy for you as a consumer.

We also attach great importance to the social aspects of sustainability. Our sustainable Christmas jumpers are produced under good working conditions. This means that workers are paid fairly and work in safe and hygienic conditions. In addition, there must never be any child labour or forced labour.

Who are we?
While we're on the subject of ourselves; we are Jesper and Christoffer and we are the founders and owners of Christmas Sweats. We sell Christmas jumpers all over the world but started out small. It was actually even a joke, but our Christmas jumper stall at the Copenhagen Christmas market was a real hit. In the years that followed we made our lovely soft Christmas jumpers, dresses and Christmas socks better and more fun.
We still make our designs entirely ourselves, so you really are wearing a unique sustainable Christmas jumper.
We have now sold almost 1 million Christmas jumpers and keep developing new sustainable Christmas jumpers every year. We also love making ugly Christmas jumpers, Christmas dresses and children's Christmas jumpers with lights!
In short, we love making your Christmas just a little bit more fun.
More than just a sustainable Christmas jumper
Of course we think it's important that our Christmas jumpers are as sustainable as possible, but we like to do just a bit more. That is why we also give almost 30,000 euros to Save The Children every year. We even have a special Save The Children collection from which a percentage of sales goes towards the wonderful work they do.

When you order your sustainable Christmas jumper in our webshop, we get to work for you straight away. Unsure about the size? For every product we have a clear size chart under the heading “Measure your size here”, but you can also take our Fit Quiz. Through a few questions, we can advise you on your size and the fit of our sustainable Christmas jumpers. You can expect your Christmas jumper at home within 2 to 3 days. Occasionally your order may unfortunately be slightly delayed. This happens mainly when it is very busy or when the weather has been very bad.
Want to send your product back? Of course you can. Our customer service will be happy to help, but you can also use our returns portal. The cost of a return shipment is 5.95 euros. Of course you can try on your sustainable Christmas jumper, but make sure all the labels stay attached if you still want to send it back.
Ugly Christmas jumper? We have it sustainable!
Are you looking for a sustainable ugly Christmas jumper? We have them! In our collection of ugly Christmas jumpers we have several jumpers that are truly ugly but also sustainable.
Where many ugly Christmas jumpers have LED lights, these are not present on the sustainable ugly Christmas jumpers. Those lights may make the jumper wonderfully ugly but unfortunately not sustainable.
